Most of the year the shores are gentle with timid waters and salty sea breezes; all alliances walk freely here, greeting and conversing. Land owners may take in others that wander here; the free and the lost are often found here. It’s easy to get lost alone the sandy shoreline as it stretches out for miles around displaying the beauty of each and every sunrise and sunset. The atmosphere here is relaxed and the grounds placed between the light and neutral realms to avoid disturbances, although all alliances may find love here and commit themselves under the hypnotising sway of the willow blossom. Stallions of every alliance keep a respectful distance from this area allowing their young to get nothing but the very best at the start of life before the mares return to them. Lone mares often come here, longing to find the child they never had or simply offering pity to the hearts of lost babes. Only those accustomed to pain would wander here, allowing the thorns to take purchase on their skin. Darker stallions roam here, those and the mares desperate for young who care nothing of alignment of the father. For here is a place of pain and unforgiving brutes. Walk carefully or you may no longer walk at all. The air is thick and vision poor, survivors here must be strong, or else you are at great risk. Predators roam this land of broken rocks and bloodstained ground. There is little to eat and all water has a bitter taste. Nothing would want to live here; here is where the weak and hopeless go to extinguish their lives amongst the wolves and broken skeletons. Although it is rare, when a soul is found to have committed a great sin, they could be banished here with only their hope to keep them alive. Moderator Administrators 0 0 No Posts Trials of Vehemence Take to the dirt, the space here is sparse; the ground rocky and unforgiving to those who fall. Twists in the cracked earth mark where trials of the past have been waged. Be it for possession, personal gain or a vendetta yet to be fulfilled here is the place to bring your raw passions upon your foe. Although fights are rarely to the death don’t expect to be let of easily by your opponent! Take warning as wounds will be cast upon both who wage here as proof of the morality that holds all. Downwind of the vast sea, salt stings the air and fills your taste buds with the sweetness of the blue water. The grasses are low and surround the spring that is brought down by the mountain tops. Through rock falls of the past a cluster has compiled to create a cave, a safe vantage point for the reclusive Royalty of the Lights. Moderator Administrators 3 32 Mon May 19, 2008 8:43 am ninja Swallow Song Forest At the bottom of the hillside a dense selection of deciduous trees provide good all-weather shelter to whoever resides here. So named for the swallows that seasonally reside here the land is often filled with birdsongs. Grass is short and the ground is soft and moss covered with a springy quality. Many open areas are spread throughout the denser woodland, allowing for solitary walks and private conversations. A short walk separates the woodland from the dividing brook to the lands of Light Royalty. Moderator Administrators 2 2 Fri Jun 15, 2007 10:59 am LivingLegends Whispering Vale Thick clumps of bulrushes poke out along the banks of the large crystal pond. The grasses here are lush and tall, holding good shelter for the young. The winds here are often strong. This rich field holds many forms of life, rabbits, rare birds and the pond is a welcome home to frogs and even small fish. There is little shade here however the winds tend to carry the heat away in the summer, but grouping together is the only way to deal with the windswept rains when they come. Moderator Administrators 3 3 Sun Jul 22, 2007 7:47 pm ToxicHeart Flourishing Fields The boundaries seem endless to the his rich field, hundreds upon hundreds of flowers bloom giving the air a sweet pollen scent, daisies and buttercups during the summer and lonely snowdrops in the wintertime. Throughout the year the dandelions that appear giving the field a soft yellow and white tinge. All varieties of insects thrive here, from bees and butterflies to grasshoppers and the night time crickets. Lots of patches of lavender and heather provide a nice scenic touch and low boundary protection to the outskirts of this terrain. Sea grasses poke up in tufts under the pure white sand layer. Little hoof prints mark this land where others have passed through, but they won’t last long as the soft breezes blow them away. The air here is thick with salt and the smooth curve of the land is broken only by a few loose rock fragments that litter the shoreline from the towering cliffs above. The shallow sea waters hold an abundance of glimmering corals and oysters which give their name to the land. Moderator Administrators 3 16 Mon Jul 21, 2008 4:11 pm Zenith Paths of Impartiality   Penumbra Hills The ground here rolls gently like soft, green ocean waves, allowing for ample space to indulge in the occasional refreshing gallop. A line of tall shade trees marks one boundary of the land, and the grass beneath is tall and succulent, the favored grazing ground of the Neutral royalty who reside here. Just within the arboreal cover lies a small stream, providing a source of clear mountain water as well as adding a soothing melody to the surrounding landscape. The floor is rocky; shards of stone litter the ground, making footing on the higher portion of the mountains more than slightly treacherous. However, the grass that escapes from between the bedrock is plentiful enough to satiate the hunger of the resident equines, a stream sliding down the banks serves as a water source, and the caves carved into the sides of the mountains provide shelter from the elements. Those who are sure of their balance should find it a pleasant dwelling place. Though shade here is sparse, the grasses are plentiful and a fresh stream trickles through this terrain before emptying into the wide sea beyond. Patches of wildflowers grow scattered throughout the tall vegetation, adding a sprinkle of color to the otherwise tan-hued landscape, though the equine residents of this area must take care to avoid the buttercups, which are poisonous to them. Moderator Administrators 1 1 Wed May 23, 2007 6:22 pm Zenith Mercurial Waters This stretch of sandy ground reaches alongside the frolicking turquoise waves, waves that scatter shells, stones and driftwood across the pale gold of the waterfront. Salty sea grass grows along the most inland parts of the beach, and fresh water is plentiful as all the streams of the land eventually flow to meet the sea. Sandstone cliffs stretch along part of the shore, and small hollows eroded into these formations provide comfortable shelter from the elements. The only danger to fear in this terrain is the usually-calm sea, for during rare storms it has been known to rise up the beach and flood the land. Only small, thin trails exist between the trees, though if one were to follow one of these for long enough, he or she would come to a large, grassy clearing, surrounded by tall pines. Because of the species of trees that proliferates here, pine needles cover the ground, though they are easily pushed aside to reveal succulent grazing land beneath. A water source in the form of a mountain stream lies along the boundary of this and the Neutral Royal land, and is shared by both terrains. Jutting out of the typography as a thorny crown the dark peaks thrust toward the sky. Solitude and shadows lurk within the slate pool barriers, but on the outside lay a ghastly green carpet of grass. A circle shape, a thorny crown to place on the royalties heads, it's ideal for anyone supreme. In the center of the dark icicles lay a deep lake in which to drink. Cool and calm as a glacier lay hidden deep beneath the murky water surface. Flowers bloom large as a foal in reds, yellows, and purples. Thorns at their base to sting a curious muzzle, causing them to tingle and go numb for some odd minutes. Past equines have provided dirt and vegetation cleared trails to wind in and out of this jungle. Predators lurk upon the shadows casted by the looming trunks. Tread lightly, though we all know the darks aren't capable of such a wayward path. The canopy thick and dense providing protection from the acid rain that sometimes graces the dark lands. The reddish hue from the trunks gives the forest its name, as well as the many charred trees from a past fire that strickened the land. Red roses kiss the trunks of the giant timbers. The ground always littered in dense layers of deadened leaves, it's a peaceful sanctuary and safe haven for any dark that loves to be aloof and dwell in the shadow of the crimson hue. Moderator Administrators 4 20 Thu May 15, 2008 1:14 pm Dancing_Angels Maelstrom Plains A flat line across the dark terras, there is no safe place in which to hide. Emerald blades stick out with dangerous points to poke at the underbellies of adult equines. Rocks mingle beneath the thick blades as well as minor sink holes. Galloping about without a careful eye has left many equines to trip and fall to their death, sliding their jaw into their forehead as they collide with the terra. The skeletons still riddle across the grasses, hidden treasures to the curious foals birthed here. Though it may seem harmless, the plains are anything but not. Gusts of high wind and chilling air suck across it, taking the very souls of the damned. Only the stable and brave survive. Moderator Administrators 1 1 Tue May 22, 2007 10:47 pm Silver Shadow Phantom Sands Black sand taints the shores of the murky granite ocean as it collides against the dark shores. Dreary weather always makes its presence in this terra, a continual grey mist dances among the seagrass that thrives in this region. The beach juts up into a large slate wall of boulders, a protective and treacherous boundary to protect from any attacks. A safe haven among the dark lands for any rigid soul.
